HOW U(X) FOUND ME

I am an adventurer and a traveler, and it’s these two passions which led me to load up my car one day and move across the country to San Francisco, to its culture of innovation, and to my career as a UX Designer.

I am a versatile design thinker. I have worked as a brand and identity designer; an art director for some of the world’s biggest brands; a furniture designer who spent many long days working with my hands to perfect a piece of furniture. I love UX Design because it combines my artistic side with the part of me that loves making things work.

My life story has made me an advocate for keeping design simple. I grew up in Poland until the age of 15, at which point my family moved to Chicago. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Columbia College Chicago and started my design career working with large clients headquartered there. I think these two phases of my life, one growing up in a poorer country but with a close-knit family that provided what’s truly needed, and a second pursuing my education and embarking on a career in one of the most dynamic cities in the world, shaped who I am as a person and as a designer. I am always excited to embrace what’s big and new but, at the same time, I gravitate toward a simpler way of being, even in the experiences that shape our digital lives.

When I am not designing, you will find me traveling the globe, running, and cooking for friends and family.

VISUAL DESIGN

I am equal parts architect, collaborator, strategist and visual storyteller. I connect easily with people — users, stakeholders and teammates — and I believe straightforward and delightful digital experiences have the potential to improve people’s lives.

UX DESIGN

I have been building beautiful things that work well for people my entire professional life. With a background in branding, art direction and furniture design, I instill a strong aesthetic into the product thinking I do today as a User Experience designer.
